Lifting of the US sanctions on the Nord Stream 2 operators will be a personal loss for the USA and President Joe Biden. This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelensky at a press conference in Kyiv today, - correspondent of OstroV reports.
"There is a high risk that they (the Russian Federation - OstroV) can put pressure on the USA to lift the sanctions. I believe that this will be President Biden's personal loss. I am speaking frankly why this will be a serious geopolitical victory for the Russian Federation and a new redistribution of forces and influence", - he stated.
He noted that Biden may agree to lift the sanctions as part of the "exchange".
"I know that there is no common position and opinion, this is a serious game. This is not just about energy security. The USA can go for such a thing, if they exchange, excuse me for such a word, for something very-very serious. I am confused by this situation", - Zelensky said.
As previously reported, the Administration of the US President Joe Biden decided to drop sanctions against the Nord Stream 2 operating company and its managing director Matthias Warnig.
