Days of Slavyansk and Kramatorsk liberation will be celebrated on July 5th as a memorable day. The corresponding decree was adopted by deputies on March 31, - reports the VR website.

"The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the Resolution "On Amendments to the Decree of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine №971-VIII as of February 2nd, 2016 "On the celebration of memorable dates and anniversaries in 2016" (about the liberation of Kramatorsk and Slavyansk from the pro-Russian terrorists)," - said the message.

According to the resolution, on July 5th the anniversary (second) of the date of the liberation of Kramatorsk from the pro-Russian terrorists will be celebrated; July 5 is the date of the liberation of Slavyansk from pro-Russian terrorists two years ago.

The corresponding draft resolution was registered under №4060. 238 deputies in all voted for the decision, 70 did not vote. The authors of the resolution are the people's deputies of Ukraine M.Yefimov and A.Nedava.

It is significant that none of the deputies of the Opposition Bloc faction many of whom are from Donbas voted for this law. Most of the "opposition" was absent at the meeting. Two deputies abstained and 5 did not vote at all.

On July 5th, 2014 by representatives of illegal armed groups led by the militant Igor Girkin (Strelkov) left Slavyansk and Kramatorsk without a fight, according to the ATO leaders, completely surrounded by Ukrainian troops and thry freely entered Donetsk. ATO forces, in their turn, took control of Slavyansk and Kramatorsk.
