Partners of Ukraine have provided Kyiv with an additional batch of military aircraft and spare parts for the repair of aircraft available to the AFU. This was stated by the U.S. Department of Defense spokesman John Kirby on Tuesday, - Voice of America reports.
"The Ukrainian military has received additional planes and aircraft parts to help them get more planes into the air", - Kirby stated.
He clarified that the United States was not among the countries that provided Kyiv with military aviation assets.
Kirby did not specify which countries provided the jets to Kiev, but acknowledged the new shipments, having added that Ukraine now has more combat-capable fighter planes than two weeks ago.
"We certainly helped with the transit of some parts, which helped to meet their needs for the aircraft, but we did not transport the entire aircraft", - he said.
As previously reported, Ukraine has requested anti-ship missiles from the USA.
