Leader of the self-proclaimed "DPR" Alexander Zakharchenko said that the former elite of Donetsk region wouldn’t be able to return and "we will give a bill" to its representatives. He said this in the course of communication with local journalists on June 5th.
On June 1st the leader of the "DPR" issued a "decree" on the prohibition a number of people to enter the territory of Donetsk region, among whom there were many former "regionals". In total, the list includes 46 persons. Among them there are Rinat Akhmetov, Andrey Klyuyev, Yuriy Boyko, Borys Kolesnikov, Sergey Taruta, Viktor Pshonka, Raisa Bogatyryova, Yuriy Ivanyushchenko, Tatyana Bakhteyeva, Sergey Kurchenko and others.
Zakharchenko said that the list would continue. "Enemies have enough internal and externa enemies and, first of all, our elite which then ruled Donetsk region and could just avoid the seizure of our territory even on their own due to city council, regional council, all of our oligarchs could make our region to remain a stronghold of law and order throughout the territory of Ukraine, which was covered in rabies, some sickness, Bandery. But they did not. Why didn’t they do it? Well, everyone has probably his/her interests. Someone decided that in that way it was possible to get extra power or expand the business. When there were active hostilities, all the so-called elite was quiet, it looked: who will win?", - he said.
According to leader of the "DPR", "when there is peace, factories seem to work, people could live without them", "they are not needed". "And this so-called, our elite starts to return, but how? -It does not want to work, but wants to return, to lead, walk on the red carpet -"thank you, benefactors, that you you sent us humanitarian aid. "But, wait, you don’t thank for canned meat. Thank you that you sent, thnk you that you didn’t forget, but it is not what you were supposed to do. If we estimate the volume of humanitarian aid and the amount of unpaid taxes to the republic, so we’ll give you a bill," - he warned.
The leader of the militants is convinced that "Donetsk elite" wants "to return and grab back the old power which it used to have" in the course of the local elections on the occupied territories.
"They want to get it back, to reclaim their power, to get their money and want to amplify here because. When they do it, they will give demands to Moscow and Kiev or to someone else," - said Zakharchenko.
At the same time, he argues that it’s not about "nationalization" of enterprises that belong to persons on the list.
"That's what the decree provides, it will ban to enter the territory, but we are not going to nationalize the companies, change private property, as it is meant. It is too early to talk about it. Look, we are unrecognized "republic" and plenty of companies operate, unfortunately, not in our legal framework, but in Ukrainian, unfortunately, and pay taxes there. But it is a social sphere, salary, some cash and work of the same companies that did not stop and continue to work. It is operating businesses that weren’t plundered, exploded or destroyed. These are enterprises that belong to the "Donetsk People's Republic", are on our land, and it's a matter of time, in what way we’ll continue to deal with it," - said the leader of the "DPR".
